SYNOPSIS: Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire.

"Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek...." And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand... and his name is Shrek.

Shrek presents a treasure trove of creative opportunities, including costumes, sets, puppets (there is a fire-breathing dragon after all) and more! Irreverently fun for the whole family, Shrek proves that beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre.

Temple Music and Performing Arts invites actors ages 7 - 17 years to audition for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, hitting the stage May 8, 9, 10, & 11! (Age exceptions will be considered at the director's discretion.)

Audition Location
Temple Music & Performing Arts Studio on the campus of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 3641 N 56th St., Phoenix, AZ 85018. The studio is located to the right of the main church doors.

Production Fee is DUE at AUDITIONS
$375; Additional siblings are $275 each

• We accept cash, check or credit card.

• This is a no-cut performance.

• If an actor notes that they will only accept a certain part, and then is not cast in that role, the production fee will be refunded. 

• Production Fees are non-refundable except in the case above.

Rehearsals & Performances
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church

IMPORTANT: We run rehearsals very efficiently in order to maintain a family-friendly schedule. Each rehearsal is important not only the success of the show but the experience of the actor. Actors are expected to make every effort to attend all rehearsals but will be able to submit "out dates" at auditions.

Children's Choir Rehearsals (Generally actors ages 7-11):
Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:30-6:00pm (Beginning April 5, 2024)
Saturdays 1:00-4:00pm

Older Cast Rehearsals (Generally actors ages 12+):
Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00-8:00pm (Beginning April 5, 2024)
Saturdays 1:00-4:00pm

Mandatory Tech Week Rehearsals:

Step On Stage

Programs for OLPH
and St. Theresa Schools

Our youngest performers are "stepping on stage" at OLPH and St. Theresa Catholic Schools! 

This class is an opportunity for your performers to step on stage in a fun filled environment with their peers. They will dance, sing, play theater games, and learn music and choreography in preparation for a showcase performance.  If your little one sings and dances around the house, you have a natural performer. This experience will build confidence, a solid foundation in music and dance, and a love for performing with Temple Music and Performing Arts seasoned instructors.
Class will conclude with a showcase performance!

Mommy & Me Piano

Learn with your Little One

We are excited about this NEW class offering with our amazing instructor, Jane Maskell. Jane takes her professional and personal skills as a mom of a little one and creates a fun learning environment for Mom or Dad to learn together with little ones age 3-5 years.

This class is a great way to bring music into your child’s life and for Mom to gain skills to share with other kids as well!

Lessons are 30-minutes long and held at our studio in the Prince of Peace campus.
