Announcing our
2026-27 Season!
We are so excited to announce our upcoming season! We will begin with “Descendants the Musical.” This delightful show follows the story of four main characters—Mal, Evie, Jay, and Cdfarlos—who are the children of famous Disney villains. They leave the Isle of the Lost, where their parents were banished, to attend Auradon Prep, a prestigious school for the children of Disney heroes. As they navigate their new lives, they face challenges of identity, friendship, and the legacy of their parents' villainous past. The musical is filled with comedy, adventure, and catchy songs from the films, showcasing themes of redemption and the struggle between good and evil.
Actors ages 7-14 are encouraged to audition for our “no-cut” performances. Rehearsals are held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday afternoons. We promise a positive audition and lots of theater fun!
Auditions for “Descendants the Musical” will be held early August. Video auditions will be accepted. We hope you join us!

Sara Lucas
We are heartbroken to have to share the tragic news with you that one of our beautiful actors and most special young people, Sara Lucas, the young woman who was to play Mary Poppins in our opening weekend performance in January, sadly and suddenly passed away on January 16. She had been terribly sick all week, but still managed to show up for both of her Tech week rehearsals because of her commitment to her craft, her cast and her friends.
Sara‘s mom, Supranee, is on our costume team and one of our most faithful volunteers. Her dad, Steve, has become Terry‘s dearest friend and was on our “dad‘s with drills” team and volunteered in so many other ways. Sara‘s beautiful little sister and best friend, Scarlett, was in many shows at Temple Theater alongside her sister. Currently she is one of our Chimney Sweeps in Mary Poppins.
Temple Theater' Company has established the “Sara Lucas Legacy Fund” to honor Sara’s love of theater and the joy she brought to others both on stage and throughout her life. Donations will expand access to scholarships and support improvements to the theater for audiences and actors alike.
We ask that you keep the entire Lucas family - and all affected by the loss of Sara - in your prayers.

In 2021, the Temple family began building a theater in the Arcadia neighborhood. Fast forward to today and we have a beautiful new stage, lights and sound all through the generosity of amazing donors. Over the years, we also identified a need. Some families needed a little help to cover production fees or tuition. Since we are passionate about making sure all children have access to the performing arts, The Temple Theater Company was born. The Temple Theater Company is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation. All donations collected open doors for children and give audiences a top level experience of children’s theater. We hope you will join us in building confidence, friendships, and opportunities for children in the greater Phoenix area. Welcome to the family.
