Terry and Ginny Temple opened the doors of Temple Music and Performing Arts in 2009. Although it was a Grand Opening to them, it was really more like a lesson room, Terry, and his piano. But they were happy because Terry’s whole life has centered around music and this was a natural step. His professional career actually began during college as a touring musician and singer with the New Christy Minstrels which enriched his music degree from Arizona State University. He has performed on both the stage and screen and understands the needs and passion of music performance. Terry used his gifts to serve as a liturgical musician for twenty-five years for parishes in the Diocese of Phoenix. Prior to retirement from this work, Temple Music Studios- now Temple Music and Performing Arts- opened to a few students and grew so rapidly that Terry knew that this was his next venture. Since then, talented professional instructors have joined the team teaching voice, piano, guitar, violin, viola, acting, and audition preparation.
After many years of bringing theater to local schools, the Temples teamed up with Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and opened their doors to children valley-wide producing musicals for children of all ages. Emily Temple joined the team and is putting her BFA in Theater to good use as a director and choreographer and teams with her dad as our creative “dream team.”
Ginny holds things together managing private lesson studio operations, theater production management, and welcoming volunteers.
It is a family affair at Temple Music and Performing Arts.
Welcome to the family!
