For more than a decade, Temple Music and Performing Arts (TMPA) has had as its core mission to bring the beauty and benefits of performing and theatrical arts to as many children as possible. This year alone, due in part to our partnership with Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help School and Saint Theresa Catholic School, we will produce nine shows focused on children and young teenagers. Additionally, we have begun offering group dance and acting classes which have proven to be wonderfully successful. In a single season we have become the most prolific children’s theater in the Valley providing opportunities for over 600 young actors and training in dance, music, acting and singing for well over 400 aspiring artists. Additionally, our summer programming serves some 200 children with theatrical intensives and a variety of performance opportunities.

WE WANT TO DO MORE

We know that there are countless children in our immediate community that, if given the opportunity, would benefit greatly from a performing arts education. Additionally, we know that there are entire communities of children that have limited or no access to training or performing.

TEMPLE CHILDREN’S ARTS FOUNDATION, an Arizona non-profit corporation and federal 501(c)(3) tax exempt entity has been formed to address this important need.

OUR MISSION

• Expand training and performance opportunities to children regardless of their ability to pay

• Inspire young artists by exposing them to professional performances, both locally and on Broadway

• Provide scholarships for local camps, workshops, performance fees and master classes

• Bring full, professionally led children’s theater - at no cost - to areas of the valley lacking in these important opportunities

• Secure the necessary equipment and materials to enhance our community outreach
