VALUABLE NEW PARENT INFORMATION- From Supranee
Hello new Temple families! My name is Supranee Lucas ("Sue-prah-knee"), and I am here to help you navigate your first production as your volunteer New Parent Liaison Save my number to text me for any questions I can help answer: 602-615-1096. Hope you and your kiddos are enjoying Annie so far!
This is my family's third year with Temple, and my daughters Scarlett and Sara are in the early cast. I also serve lovingly alongside our amazing costumer Michelle and several incredible moms as part of our costume team! I am usually at every rehearsal and in the costume room with the kiddos. A couple quick bullet points as we get close to tech week in a few weeks:
Complete costume form: 2024-2025 Costume Information Form
Purchase jazz shoes (Amazon is great) or make plans to borrow from our costume room stash: tan shoes for orphans, black shoes for Warbuck's staff. Jazz shoes can take a little time to get used to, so nice to have early.
Purchase a base costume: neutral colored tank top / spaghetti strap tank preferrable and bike shorts (Target is great) to wear underneath costumes for modesty on Saturdays, tech week, show week
Plan for tech week and show week as these nights start early and go late: feed actors before they arrive as no food allowed in costume room
Sign up to volunteer and purchase tickets
NEW PARENT MEETING RECAP- from Ginny
Temple Theater Company is a family affair- Terry, Ginny and Emily Temple
Directors: Emily and Terry Temple
Our Mission
To help children grow through the performing arts.
Teach solid performing arts skills and rehearsal discipline.
Create an environment of challenge, support and fun.
We transform a Church into a Theater- We create a full stage, huge projection screen with pipe and drape that creates a backstage.
Rehearsals
Our rehearsal schedule is very short in comparison to other theaters.SO… each rehearsal is very important!
We see actors feel stressed when missing rehearsal because new things are learned every meeting. They have to play catch up.
Please stick to your original outdate schedule it REALLY helps us and your actor.
Expectations for Actors
Cell phones collected
No one leaves the building except outdoor breaks (supervised)
Show respect for the Production Team… fellow Actors… Self
No one sits alone. We are all in this together!
Learn your lines and songs and practice at home.
Work hard.
Be kind to others and make new friends
Have fun!
Temple Promises
To run a tight ship
To keep kids safe
To provide excellent theater arts training in a family atmosphere.
To love your kiddos
Communications
We communicate primarily by email.
